Originally from the Chesapeake Bay area on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Tracy graduated Cum Laude from Furman University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and double major in History and Political Science. After college, Tracy attended Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005, where she graduated with honors and served as an editor and member of the Wake Forest Moot Court Board. Following law school, Tracy clerked for the Honorable John C. Hayes of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court.
Focusing her practice on construction litigation, Tracy is Vice Chair of the South Carolina Bar Construction Law Section, editor of “News and Notes”, the Bar's Construction Law Newsletter, and a member of the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry. She is also the 16th Judicial Circuit representative for the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyer's Division. Tracy has extensive experience representing owners, contractors, and design professionals in a wide array of construction and design-related disputes, including claims arising from allegedly delay, scheduling, changes in scope, construction or design defects, insurance and indemnity agreements, and mechanic's lien and payment/performance bonds.
In addition to construction litigation, Tracy regularly handles both insurance, real property, and commercial landlord/tenant litigation, representing clients in various capacities, including, mediation, arbitration, and litigation in state and federal courts, as well as pre-litigation compromise negotiations.
